Orientación para padres
Parents need to know that Louisa May Alcott's semi-autobiographical Little Women, originally published in 1868, is a lengthy, beloved American classic that tells the story of the four March sisters growing up in Boston during and after the Civil War, as they wait for their father to return home. Generations of readers have loved its vivid, relatable characters. However, the writing style is old fashioned and the story features outdated (but time-period-appropriate) gender roles. Religion plays an important role in the family, so there are many religious references. This class is taught literary analysis and not allegory.

Hi I am Teacher Kaylyn and I have been working with children in many different ways for over 15 years in many different ways. Most recently I have taught online for online since 2019, teaching ESL and here on Outschool. I have a 6 year old son and I am used to high energy fun. I love to make learning fun and I want to share my interests with others. Since I do have a young son I love to teach young students. It is great when they figure something out and you can see something click. I love to read and I really like to do book studies to share that love with others. I have learned that to start a passion for reading you need to find the right books that you can't put down. I want to help others to their own books they are passionate about. I love to make candies and my family loves it when I do also; they get all the samples. I hope to see you in class soon!
