Take a journey through history as we learn about one of the most famous abolitionists, Harriet Tubman! In this self-paced class, we will learn about her life, accomplishments, and legacy. We will follow her life as a child through adulthood. How she became involved with the Underground Railroad, her role in the Civil War, and what she did in life after the 13th amendment was ratified. Through readings and video presentations, your learner will come to understand what made Harriet Tubman the legend we know her as today. Your child will also learn about the Underground Railroad, the 13th amendment as well as understood the beginning stages of conducting thorough and valid research. Materials and Resources: Students will be given a 36-page E-Book and stylized timeline poster on Harriet Tubman along with video presentations, google forms (PDF) and any other materials needed. Student evaluations will be given at the end of the course based on a Slide Presentations. Please refer to the class syllabus for a detailed outline of the class. I am available through through emails and will provide timely feedback to students.

Objective:
Through video format, the students will learn how enslaved people were freed with the 13th Amendment and what the Emancipation Proclamation was and why it did not free enslaved people.
