A no practice curriculum is a piano curriculum designed to offer busy parents and children a chance to learn piano without the expectation or demand of daily practice. This curriculum differs from traditional piano lessons in that the pacing of concepts is slower and there is a lot of revision and practice built into each lesson. By removing the expectation to practice we are allowing learners to enjoy making and learning about music in a fun and low demand environment.

This class is for any total beginner piano student who cannot commit to practicing each week, but can commit to coming for lessons. Whether you have a busy schedule, executive functioning challenges, want a low demand introduction to piano, or just want to try out piano and see if you like it, then these classes are for you. They are slower paced than traditional lessons, but we go through all the material together in a fun and engaging way.
NOTE: If you'd like faster paced classes and can commit to practicing about 10-20 minutes, 5X a week, please check out my Traditional Twist Piano Classes!

Hi, I'm Nefeli!

I'm a certified Online Music Teacher with with a BA in Psychology and a special interest in music and how we learn.

I've been teaching piano for over 20 years, as well as tutoring high school math and study skills. I'm a relationship first teacher which means I take time to get to know my students and find out how they learn and what their strengths and challenges are. I always focus on strengths first to build confidence and a love of music!

I am neurodiversity affirming which means that no matter your ability or disability, you will have access to high quality music education and that no matter your neurotype, you are welcome to be yourself. You can stim, you can play with your fidgets or doodle, you can turn off your camera, you can type your answers in the chat if that is your preference.

I have a variety of classes to suit your needs, including
- Just Games! (Fun way to reinforce theory)
- Camps
- No practice group classes
- master workshops on various topics (such as emotions and music, performance anxiety, rhythm, composers)
- 1:1 lessons
- 20 minute focussed practice sessions
- and more!

Fun facts about me:
 1. I call myself the Neurodivergent Piano Teacher because it's easier than saying "I'm autistic and have ADHD and bipolar and executive dysfunction and prosopagnosia and aphantasia and anxiety and I teach piano" 😅.
2. I have been bellydancing for many years and have recently started learning ballet. While I love middle Eastern music, I have to admit that the piano music during ballet class really makes my soul happy.
