1-2 hours per week. Worksheets will be given out to students to be completed for the next class. Hiragana packets will be given out but won't be assessed. Students can learn the Hiragana since Matsu (the next level after Take) utilizes Hiragana greatly.Assessment
There will be quizzes after each section that focuses on both a written assessment plus a speaking assessment. Tests will occur three times with a final assessment test given to go to Matsu Class.Class Experience

Hiragana and Katakana will be taught with homework given but no assessments. If you wish to learn more about reading and writing, please enroll in Japanese 1 on 1: Susuki which focuses on reading and writing in Japanese. Both courses (Susuki and Take) can be taken concurrently.

I teach four levels of Japanese at a high school level. I previously lived in Japan for 10 years where I taught English. I also helped fellow foreigners learn Japanese over there as well as was an orientation staff member for those who newly arrived in Japan. I have 5 years of formal Japanese learning experience.
