  • -Students will gain a better understanding and appreciation for their their brains. With this knowledge, students will learn practical ways to improve their brain function. -Structure/function, cause/effects, patterns/relationships, project based learning/creativity/application

Certified in Elementary Education 1-6th for Science, Literacy, Math, History, Social Studies
Session 1: Memory and the Brain
-Memory Experiment
-Materials: 2 sheets of paper, pen or pencil

Session 2: Emotions and the Brain
-Emotion Collage Activity
- Materials: magazines with pictures of people, scissors, glue, white paper or  white poster board.

Session 3: Neuroplasticity & Having a Growth Mindset, Brain charades, reflections & Trivia
-Students will act out the functions of the brain in an interactive game. The functions include: 
Vision, Smell, Taste, Touch, Hearing, Emotions, Movement, Memory, Speech, Heart Rate, Breathing, Thinking, Planning, Problem Solving, Reading,Control Hormones, Sleep, Balance, Eating, and Drinking

-Student Project/Presentation Intro 


Session 4: Building our brain + Student Presentation. 
-Safety is our top priority. I advise parents/guardians/adults to provide supervision during session 2 for our use of scissors.
