In this class your student will learn about the tools and basic techniques needed to begin making needle felted items. Students will learn to work safely with the needle felting tools, how to choose materials, and begin shaping wool into the creations of their choice. This is a great opportunity for your student to try their hand at the craft, or even just join me and watch as I demonstrate the process of needle felting! No prior knowledge or experience is needed... just some fine motor...
A basic needle felting kit is ideal - it just needs to include felting needles, a mat or foam pillow, and some wool roving in assorted colors of the student’s choice. Feel free to contact me with any questions or for recommendations!
Needle felting involves the use of long, sharp felting needles. Please be aware that your student will need to be able to follow directions, be cautious with the needles, and exercise caution and impulse control while working.
