Nature Chronicles es una clase de ciencias de la naturaleza de un trimestre de duración en grupos pequeños que combina ciencia, arte y alfabetización en los niveles de segundo y tercer grado. Lesson 1
Introduction to Nature Journaling and Fall
Overview of nature journaling, importance of observing nature, introduction to fall season changes that we are experiencing.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Exploring Leaf Changes
Leaf identification, journal entries on leaf observations, and the process/significance of leaf color changes in fall. This class has a leaf rubbing home activity attached.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Animal Behavior and Hibernation
Animal preparation for winter, hibernation, migration. Understanding the how and why of animal activity.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Seed Dispersal and Plant Life Cycles
Learning about plants in fall and how they prepare for winter, seed dispersal methods.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Fall Weather Patterns
Observe and document fall weather changes and their impact on the environment. This class has an observation activity attached.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Exploring Local Ecosystems
Understand different types of local ecosystems and the variety of life they support.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Fungi and Decomposition
Learn about fungi and their importance in the natural cycle of decomposition.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Bird Migration
Understand bird migration and how to identify migratory birds.
 Week 9
Lesson 9
Insects in Fall
Understand the role and behavior of insects during the fall season and how they adapt to changing conditions.
 Week 10
Lesson 10
Review, Reflection, and Presentation
Review of all topics covered. Learners have the opportunity to share and reflect on their discoveries.

Hello! I'm Danielle Jimenez Williams, a passionate nature artist and educator specializing in teaching environmental art and science, nature journaling and education, as well as many other topics. I have spent more than 10 years in teaching in a homeschool and traditional school setting. I am dedicated to helping students discover the wonder of nature through substantive learning, art, hands on observation, and visual notes. I have guided countless students in learning about and capturing the beauty of the natural world on paper. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. 

I believe in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. Having worked with a variety of students who have varying need for accommodation, I understand the importance of making accommodations to ensure all students feel comfortable and successful in their educational journey.
