Students will learn basic age-appropriate information about the Greek gods in this 6-week course. They will learn several themes dealing with love, loss, family, and friendship. Each week 1-3 stories will presented and some weeks there will be an addition of age-appropriate puppets to highlight some stories. This course will focus on highlighting elements that younger students can relate to. Students will be prompted to interact with each other as well as the teacher.
In this course, the students will learn about the ancient Greek lifestyle, sibling rivalry, Hera's role with Hercules, the birth of Hephestus, and more. They will have questions to discuss based on the background of the gods. Stories will be told and students will draw something significant to what they’ve heard, for example, a vase. They will share their drawings and interact by giving positive affirmations.
