In this 25-minute class, the learner will work to name the items in the mystery basket. I will put one item in the mystery basket while the learner asks questions that can be answered with "Yes," "No," or "Maybe." If a learner is struggling to come up with a question, I will offer a suggestion. Learners can also guess the item at any time, keeping in mind that they get 20 questions before I tell them the answer. After an item is named correctly, I will share a little-known fun fact or two about the item. If time allows, I will either introduce more items or we will play a game involving critical thinking. Some of the items I may include in the basket are: sports ball, toy car, snowman toy, food toy, animal toy, school items, and more! Please note that your learner should be able to sit and participate in a lesson for 25 minutes to be successful in this class. My teaching style is interactive and learner-focused. I often use power points, stories I've written, discussions, and games in my lessons! I believe that teaching should not only help students learn about the topic being taught but that it should also be engaging and fun!
