Entrenamiento mental musical nivel 2 (en curso)

This course is a sequel to the one-time Musical Brain Work-Out music-based course. In Level 2 ongoing, students will participate in a variety of different 'games' that continue to utilize Musical Executive Functioning techniques, an evidence-based protocol in Music Therapy. Students can come and go as they please, and each week will be a new topic (explained below). These games improve joint attention, fixed attention, and bi-hemispheric communication (primes the brain for learning), all while feeling like a rock-star! The ongoing level 2 class will support generalization of skills, introduce new techniques, and further develop attention skills through musical games. 

Students will be able to talk to each other between games, ask questions, and  to share their thoughts at the end of class. 

This course will include visual supports, audio cues, and live demonstrations on zoom video. 

A breakdown of the 4 week ongoing curriculum is below, however, note that much of what the class involves is learner-dictated based on number of students attending and student interests from week to week. 

Week 1 (1/18): Brain Games Using Instruments
Week 2 (1/25): Drumming, Body Percussion, and Rhythmic Patterns 
Week 3 (2/1): Music Apps, DJ-ing, and Technology
Week 4 (2/8): Make Your Own Music Game to play on your own or with friends

No prior music experience needed, though the one-time course of Musical Brain Work-Out is encouraged to take first! Please let me know of any adaptations your learner may need, such as mobility support, sign language, etc.
