🎸🎼In this 8 week class I will teach the foundational concepts of music theory as it applies to guitar.

🎸🎼Traditional music theory is taught from the perspective of the piano. I will teach it from the prospective of the guitar. In these 8 classes I am choosing the most important topics to know as a guitarists.

🎸🎼The class will be structured to pick up where we left off the previous week. My goal is to get students to see the value in knowing music theory and to get a better understanding of the instrument. This is good for both hobbyist and serious musicians.

🎸🎼These will be lecture style classes but we will interact by applying the material to the guitar so I encourage students to have the instrument with them during the class. I will be using notation and diagrams to explain the material. All materials will be available for the students to study from between classes.

🎸🎼This class is suitable for beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitarists. Even guitar players with lots of technical skills might not have much of a background in music theory so all are welcome!
