This class is an hour-long academy class for finally memorizing those multiplication facts! 

We will combine games, interactive worksheets, and 2 short videos to cover all 144 math facts in a new and engaging way! Times Tales is a program that helps students by introducing mnemonic devices; a memory technique that helps people recall and retain information. For example, 6 x 4 = 24 the story goes... the sixth-grade class (6) played musical chairs (4) for 24 hours. The characters in the story are the numbers and the story itself tells students the answer without them having to "dry memorize" anything! 

Class is broken down into the following sections:

5 minute introduction and getting to know each other - ice breaker game 
10 Minutes for 16 math facts - video # 1 
10 minutes for 20 math facts - video #2
10 minutes to cover the "before the Tales" packet 0 - 4
10 minutes to cover the "after the Tales" packet 10, 11, 12
15 minutes for review and math games! 

All students leave class with review packets and origami dice to practice at home after class!
