Nivel Beginner
We will learn and practice drawing and painting skills and techniques every week. We will learn English vocabulary and expressions and practise conversation skills in English. These conversations will go well with our art making. This class is perfect for students looking to practise English while creating amazing artwork. Week 1 - ( March 31 and April 2 ) - Draw a picture to introduce yourself - Draw various kinds lizards - Discuss how their bodies are adapted to their envoronment and lifecycles. Week 2 - ( April 7 and April 9) - Draw a picture to introduce yourself - Draw the water cycle in depth and detail - Discuss how water moved through the water cycle Week 3 - ( April 14 and April 16) - Draw a picture to introduce yourself - Design a hero characer - Discuss their special abilities and what adventure they could be in. Week 4 - ( April 21 and April 23) - Draw a picture to introduce - Draw a watercolor paitning of a pizza or a pie. - Discuss your drawing and talk about how the pizza or pia can be split into fractions, decimals and percent.

I have an Art Degree and Education Degree from the Univerisity of Calgary. I have 14 years of classroom teaching experience. I also have a Masters degree in Art Education. My Master's Thesis was on how artist statements can support English language learners in the secondary art classroom.
I have taught art for over 10 years to children age 6 to 18 years.
I have lived in China for 9 years and can speak beginner Mandarin.
I am a practising artist.
