1 hora por semana. In a self-paced virtual course format, students have the flexibility to progress through the material at their own speed, allowing for personalized learning experiences. Here's how the course structure could be adapted for a self-paced virtual format: 1. Online Modules: The course content is divided into online modules, with each module covering a specific topic related to savings accounts. These modules could include video lectures, interactive presentations, readings, and supplementary resources. 2. Learning Activities: After completing each module, students engage in self-paced learning activities designed to reinforce key concepts and skills. These activities could include interactive quizzes, hands-on exercises, case studies, and reflection prompts. By offering a self-paced virtual course, students have the flexibility to learn at their own pace, review material as needed, and tailor their learning experience to fit their individual preferences and schedules. This format promotes autonomy, engagement, and mastery of the course content.
Evaluación
Mini Quizzes: Following the learning activities, students complete mini quizzes to assess their understanding of the material covered in the module. These quizzes could be integrated directly into the online platform and provide instant feedback to students on their performance.

In this class, students will learn essential principles of personal finance with a focus on savings accounts. We will cover topics such as the purpose and benefits of savings accounts, setting savings goals, making deposits, and monitoring account activity.

I will teach through a combination of presentations, hands-on activities, and discussions to cater to different learning styles. Presentations will include slides and video clips to illustrate key concepts and provide real-world examples.

My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and student-centered. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and actively participating in discussions and activities.

Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with me throughout the class. Activities will include group discussions, collaborative problem-solving tasks, and interactive games. They will also have opportunities to ask questions and share their insights. Additionally, I will provide individual feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and growth.

Students will learn the following specific skills and concepts related to money:

1.Understanding Savings Accounts: Students will gain a thorough understanding of what savings accounts are, including their purpose, features, and benefits.

2. Setting Savings Goals: They will learn how to set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) savings goals based on their needs, wants, and financial aspirations.

3. Making Deposits: Students will learn the process of depositing money into a savings account, including different methods such as in-person deposits, online transfers, and mobile banking.

4. Monitoring Account Activity: They will understand the importance of monitoring their savings account activity regularly, including checking balances, reviewing transactions, and understanding account statements.


By the end of the class, students will have a comprehensive understanding of savings accounts and the essential skills needed to manage their own savings effectively, setting them on the path to financial empowerment and security.

Lección 1:
Personal Values and Money

By understanding the connection between values and finance, students become adept money managers with a mindful approach to building their futures.

 In this lesson, middle schoolers delve into the concept of tradeoffs in money management, discovering how different financial choices involve giving up one thing to gain another. They learn to evaluate tradeoffs wisely, considering their personal values and long-term goals to make informed decisions about spending, saving, and investing. 
Unidad 2: Consumer Skills
Lección 3:
Comparison Shopping
 In this lesson, middle schoolers dive into the art of comparison shopping, discovering how to make savvy purchasing decisions by evaluating different options. Through interactive activities and discussions, students learn to consider factors like quality, price, and personal preferences when choosing products or services. By honing their comparison shopping skills, they become empowered consumers who can stretch their dollars further while staying true to their values and financial goals.

Checking Accounts
 In this lesson, middle schoolers explore the world of checking accounts, gaining essential knowledge about managing money effectively. Through engaging activities and discussions, students learn the ins and outs of checking accounts, including how to deposit and withdraw money, write checks, and monitor their account balance. By understanding the basics of checking accounts, students become equipped to make informed financial decisions and take control of their finances with confidence.
