In this one time class, learners will work with models in order to understand single digit integers in addition and subtraction. Content will be displayed on screen through Google Slides. There will be examples for both addition and subtraction with positive and negative integers. Learners will connect positive and negative symbol with corresponding numbers and apply the cross out method to eliminate or gather the symbols in order to solve for the problem. After we review examples together, learner will be able to solve for problems displayed through google slides and will receive feedback. Experience with adding/subtracting would be helpful. We will explore integer usage as responses. For this class, students are encouraged to participate by talking or through Zoom chat box, reactions. Badge: #academia
