This high energy class is an introduction to the basic techniques of Mixed Martial Arts. Techniques from Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu and Israeli Defense will be taught individually and combined into combinations. Workouts will begin with a fun warmup to prepare the students for class. The main focus of class will be teaching skills like blocks, punches, kicks, elbows, knee strikes and ground defense. Parents should observe all classes to be aware of techniques being taught. I encourage parents to practice techniques with students outside of class. Please make sure proper workout attire (t-shirt and shorts) is worn. Socks are not recommended as they may cause the student to slip. Make sure that students have an area clear of obstructions so they can safely practice kicks, punches and ground techniques.
