In this 90 minute class, students will be taught to code using Minecraft, and spawn an enderdragon that they can actually ride using code! They will take a journey with us and fly through a magical world filled with castles and knights. Class Agenda: - Welcome and Introductions - Overview of the topic - Enderdragons - Coding in Minecraft (show messages) - Coding in Minecraft (make a neon-sign) - Coding in Minecraft (build obsidian towers) - Creative time decorating with end crystals - Coding in Minecraft (Spawn and ride the enderdragon) - Testing and playing - Publishing and sharing - Wrap up Teaching Methodology: Our approach is project-based. We strongly believe that engaged, happy students are the best learners. Our projects have an end goal, and most are game based. We use coding to solve a problem. We have up to 6 student in this class, allowing the class to be interactive with lots of opportunities to ask questions and share knowledge. What you would need: Please make sure that the learner has downloaded and installed Minecraft Education Edition prior to joining the class (available for PC/Mac/iPAD). Please check system requirements prior to booking with us if you're not sure. Age Requirement: 7 to 12 No prior coding experience necessary. Minecraft playing experience would be helpful, but not necessary.

We are a London (England) based team of engineers, coders and developers who specialise in hands on learning. Our approach is project based. We don't teach coding for the sake of coding. We engage the children in coding projects that have a goal that is aligned to the students' interests. We may be new to Outschool, but we are 6 years old and have spent over 6000 hours teaching online since March 2020. We have a 5-star rating on Google and Facebook!
All our instructors have enhanced background checks on an annual basis, and have paediatric first aid certificates that are renewed every 3 years.
