Curso de comprensión lectora para secundaria

This is an asynchronous ELA class, therefore there will be no live meetings. It is expected to take eight weeks to complete and throughout the time, I will be available for feedback. If a student as a question, they can expect a response within a twenty-four hour period. Once I receive an assignment, I will give feedback by the following Sunday. 

The schedule for the course is detailed in the syllabus section. Various forms of media will be used to learn and practice reading comprehension strategies. Each week will highlight a different reading comprehension strategy, but the class structure will remain the same. There will be a instructional video followed by opportunities for students practice and demonstrate their learning. During some weeks, there may be additional content such as videos to both engage the student and help aid in their learning. 

One of my favorite educational quotes is "Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way." As an educator with a background in special education, I feel strongly about differentiation of learning.
