4 horas 10 minutos horas presencialesTarea
1-2 horas por semana. Students will concentrate on two art projects for Friday. They will present them on Gallery day in our last class.Evaluación
Their understanding of the microscopic organisms will be assessed with an oral exam. Art is assessed by the student's creative ability to present it using different media of their choice. They must know what it is from a scientific point of view and explain why they chose to artistically express it with the mediums they chose.Experiencia de clase
Nivel de inglés: desconocido
Grado de EE. UU. 2 - 5
In this class, students will explore the minute world that most of us are unaware of from an artistic and scientific point of view. Students will observe protists, plants, worms, insects, and cell images from our bodies. They will learn what it takes to be a microbiologist? This camp will also teach them how to use a microscope, make slides, and how to find the specimens under the microscope. They will view beautiful images and analyze what they look like. These images come from various websites and videos. Students will be doing artistic sketching, painting, or sculpturing to depict the different specimens they have viewed through a project. They will never see the microscopic world the same. Students will share their final art creations in an Art Gallery session on our last day. *Please note that I prefer students to have their video cameras on during classtime and keep chatroom conversation to a minimum. Also, I will occasionally have a 3-5 minute Youtube video about the subject matter to help enhance the learning experience.
Metas de aprendizaje
