Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Aloha! I am an environmental writer and wildlife conservation consultant, as well as the founder of Ocean's Daughter Conservation Alliance (a marine conservation nonprofit). I have advanced degrees in pharmaceutical sciences, and veterinary medicine with an emphasis on forensic toxicology. I am nationally certified as a toxicological chemist and possess multiple state licenses in clinical chemistry. I also possess a graduate degree in special education!

I have a deep passion for apex predators and some of the research focal points include genetic and behavioral research with sharks, investigating social learning theory as it relates to killer whales, and promoting crocodilian conservation.

Additionally, I am involved with antipoaching endeavors throughout Africa with an array of species including pangolins, rhinos, and elephants.
My teaching philosophy includes immersive storytelling, project-based learning, and a sensitivity to diverse learning styles. I utilize compelling visuals, examples from actual field research, and create STEM activities to correlate with the lesson plans. All of my classes include elements that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and creativity. I teach science while promoting wildlife and marine conservation!

I have delivered educational programs all over the world, and am excited to bring my classroom into your home!
