Learners will embark on a wonderful journey though the world of reading comprehension and coloring. They may bring a reading buddy to class. Each class will feature a different passage that target a specific reading comprehension skill. I will perform a dramatic reading that engages children and captures their attention. Learners will improve their vocabulary and reading comprehension through asking and answering questions. After the reading, learners will complete a graphic organizer...
- Learners will improve their vocabulary by listening to a wide variety of passages that will cover every topic, from animals to holidays. Learners will improve their reading comprehension skills. Learners will show what they learned through drawing and writing. Learners will ask and answer questions about what they have read.
I have been a teacher since 2008 and engaging students in books is my passion! I read dramatically with fun voices to keeps learners' attention! Graphic organizers will improve learners' reading comprehension skills.
A graphic organizer, reading passage, questions, and a coloring sheet that connects to the skill of the week will be provided.
