4+ horas por semana. The previous day's assignments are reviewed at the beginning of each class meeting to ensure the concepts are understood and questions are answered. Homework helps students learn what they don't know and always relates to the lesson. It will be a worksheet. Sending it in is optional. Not doing homework prevents students from improving their math.Evaluación

SHORT VERSION: Students will be tested so they start learning the right concepts from the first day, which usually takes a day. If they can start with fractions, the syllabus will be adjusted to start there. Each student may be starting in a different place. This class features classwork and homework. Students will be called on in the classroom. Siblings should enroll in separate sections. Those who are advanced, self-taught, or want a refresher/enrichment experience should request private sections. LONG VERSION Students will gain independence in math so it becomes a positive in their lives. They will be tested to see what concepts they should start learning, which can take up to a week but usually does not. If they can go faster than the pace of the syllabus, it is allowed. This course will prepare teenagers by addressing K-6 or elementary school basic math (addition to at least division) based on aptitude. Everyone goes at their own pace. The syllabus is a guide, not a rule. Those who don't know multiplication or division well will spend most of the first few weeks learning it. Students usually get to long multiplication or long division by the end of the course, but it's not a requirement. Individuals at different levels are common. This course explains specific math topics they never understood well enough (or at all), so it's a remedial class. Slow learners, those hung up on math, and others who just "didn't get it" during any or all previous attempts are welcome. All students will be encouraged with patience and kindness despite age or ability. Quicker learners are meant for the Vital Math 1 course. Progress and success in this course will depend on doing the homework, which prepares students and helps them remember what they learn. That is why asking questions and taking notes matter. Tips will be included as well. There are periodic reviews but no tests. Sign up to end the suffering and move forward with math.

My classes cover basic math and pre-algebra for teenagers with or without unique needs. There are two series available for that. Contact me with any concerns about whether your child is suited for the course content despite age or experience. Private classes are also available.
While educating K-12 marginalized and underserved youth, it wasn't long before I specialized in requests for math help due to demand. That was preceded by 16 years in STEM as a test, maintenance, and repair technician specializing in electricity, electronics, instrumentation, and automation for process control and military aviation.
It’s never too late to learn something no matter what anyone else says or thinks. A student is far more than mistakes that matter less and less over time.
As a kid, I used to hate math because I didn't have mastery of it. My mother was terrible at it but insisted that I do better. She won. I liked how useful math became. It's been working for me ever since, and I want my students to do at least as well.
I look forward to helping your child finally overcome math issues.
