SHORT VERSION

This is the second class in a series of several courses. Students who want to go further with their remedial (basic) math can do it here. They will literally pick up where they left off in the previous course, but new students can start here as well. Siblings should enroll in separate sections.

They will be tested to see what concepts they should start learning, which can take up to a week but usually does not. If they can go faster than the pace of the syllabus, it is allowed. This class features classwork and homework. Students will be called on in the classroom. Those who are advanced, self-taught, or want a refresher/enrichment experience should request private sections.

LONG VERSION

Students will be tested to see what concepts they should start learning, which can take up to a week but usually does not. If they can go faster than the pace of the syllabus, it is allowed.

In this class, students will have the opportunity to expand their math knowledge. This is especially for those who desired more progress in Math Without Pressure. It's still for slow learners, those whose math skills are stalled by negative memories about the subject, and those who have trouble retaining information.

This course will prepare students by ensuring that they understand all of the basics, particularly multiplication, division, and fractions. There are no stupid questions or dumb students in this class. Reviews of previous concepts will be included.

Success will depend on taking notes for the homework and asking for help when needed. Class interaction goes a long way toward greater understanding. Just auditing the class (watching the teacher or others instead of trying) usually prevents improvement.

This class meets for 45 minutes three times a week. Recordings are available for any days that students miss, and rescheduling will cover any holidays or observances.

Students can truly be better at math!
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will gain independence in math so it becomes a positive in their lives.

My classes cover basic math and pre-algebra for teenagers with or without unique needs. There are two series available for that. Contact me with any concerns about whether your child is suited for the course content despite age or experience. Private classes are also available.

While educating K-12 marginalized and underserved youth, it wasn't long before I specialized in requests for math help due to demand. That was preceded by 16 years in STEM as a test, maintenance, and repair technician specializing in electricity, electronics, instrumentation, and automation for process control and military aviation.

It’s never too late to learn something no matter what anyone else says or thinks. A student is far more than mistakes that matter less and less over time.

As a kid, I used to hate math because I didn't have mastery of it. My mother was terrible at it but insisted that I do better. She won. I liked how useful math became. It's been working for me ever since, and I want my students to do at least as well.

I look forward to helping your child finally overcome math issues.
