The way I teach this skill is very easy to learn and your child will be prepared for success in Algebra.
I will show students how to do an exercise on the white board. They will learn  by actually doing example exercises during class. I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed until the students are ready to do the exercises by themselves. Once started, I will check their answers for accuracy and follow up with any necessary explanations. I encourage all participants to try as many exercises as possible. I follow up the class with an upload of homework with the solutions.


NOTE : Students must have a reasonable amount of academic maturity to enroll.

Lección 1:

Combining Like Terms Advanced Version

 In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice 
combining like terms. Ex. -3XY + 10XY, -17X^2YZ - 80x^2YZ etc.
This skill reinforces combining like terms at a higher level and deepens the students' understanding of algebra.

Lección 2:

Multiplying terms. Like week 1 but multiplying not adding.

 In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice multiplying  terms ; like week 1 but multiplying instead of adding. Ex. -3XY  multiplied by  10XY,

Double Signs Review.

 In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice double signs ; using week1 & week 2 terminology.
This skill enhances and solidifies the students' algebraic skills.

Expanding the Distributive Property.

 In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be used in explaining concepts and working detailed examples for students. The resultant 30 minutes will be used for students to practice exercises. Immediate feedback will be given along with explanations and or corrections. Students will practice the distributive property at a higher level.
Example :  Multiplying (x^2Y^3)( X^2Y - XY^2 + XY).
