Students will be taught to write an opinion paragraph using real-life topic that would motivate them to want to write as they prepare for the EOG exams and for writing in general. The OREO strategy will be employed to help students easily express their thoughts in written form. We will cover the use of transition words to make our writing more interesting. This will be a one-time class that with the option for extension upon parents' requests. The class will be an interactive class, giving students the opportunity to become active participants in their own learning. In this class we will have discussions, slides and guided writing activities.
