In this program we will examine famous works of art and recreate them for the purposes of understanding the "HOW" throughout art history. 
We will develop our understanding of techniques by using the materials at our disposal. 
Through this process we will examine key art concepts and principals including but not limited to: composition, design, light, shadow, colour, contrast, proportion, focal point, storytelling and narrative, depth of field, and colour theory. 

Techniques explored in this class will vary based on the learner's available materials but will range from gridding, to sketching, to contour and outline, horizon and vanishing points, form and shadow using shading or brush strokes, scumbling, smudging, stippling, layer, glazing, and so very much more.

Introduction to the art and artist
Chat about the key points to cover
Develop a strategy to recreate 
Implement recreation together - guidance regarding the learners available supplies
Troubleshooting techniques that may differ from the original
Problem solve using new or different techniques to achieve the intended goal
Summary of progress made and time used vs required

This is a 1:1 class and as such the instructor and learner will be working through the materials together, and class participation is expected.
