Students should work on their project outside of class. This will help in meeting the timeline that follows each week's new session and stage. Their comic can be as simple or intricate as the student wants.Experiencia de clase
Week 1: Characters Design: Students will create a short picture plot along with a few characters. This will cover how to make characters and develop a fun story of their choice. Week 2: Story Telling: Class will cover how to set up camera angles to best compose a story for readability and impact. Here we will stage our characters using small sketches in place of our panels. Week 3: Lighting Techniques: In this stage students will learn how to apply lighting and set up lighting situations to set the mood of each scene and create a feeling of relatable environment to match each situation. Week 4: Here we will refine our comic art with detail. Week 5: Here the students will learn how to add color. We will cover color conventions, color mood, color situation, and pacing color usage throughout the story. This will aid in manipulating the viewer into identifying with our characters through color emotion. Week 6: Finished comic! Class will wrap up their comic book by adding special effects and spending the extra time to polish and refine any areas that they require.

Students will learn to use their imagination to tell exciting and engaging stories and will learn the techniques used behind their favorite comics or tv shows. They will be able to take these skills with them in school and outside of class to become effective at communicating ideas.
