NOTE: This class is twelve (12) sessions that meet 1x week for 50 minutes each session.

During the first session, we will review math problems for their current grade level or take an entire year assessment test to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, I encourage the parent to send me by email the math material/concepts the child is currently struggling to master.

I will create a study plan with a custom curriculum and handouts to help the student learn. My resources include:
•	Barron's Common Core Success
•	Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool Math
•	Evan-Moor Math
•	IXL Math
•	Kahoot
•	Khan Academy
•	McGraw Hill Education Math
•	Spectrum Math

Once the student has mastered all the key math strands/topics for their current grade, we will move on to challenging assignments from the next grade level.

We'll practice math problems from a grade's USA Common Core State Standards during each private tutoring session until the student masters a concept.

“Kahoot! is a global learning platform company. Kahoot! games can be played anywhere, in person or virtually, using any device with an internet connection.” A Kahoot! game is a quiz with multiple choice answers and the games include topics such as Year End Math Assessment. Kahoot! is a fun way to test a student's knowledge of a math topic such as adding fractions, multiplying decimals, solving for area of a rectangle. Kahoot! app is free and does not require an account. The teacher provides the website link (http://www.kahoot.it) and a game pin then the student creates a silly screen name; thus, no account is needed, and no personal information is given to Kahoot! “Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computing, history, art history, economics, and more, including K-14 and test preparation (SAT, Praxis, LSAT) content. We focus on skill mastery to help learners establish strong foundations, so there's no limit to what they can learn next!” Khan Academy is also a free app and for this class will not require an account. The teacher will share screen of quiz questions, so no account is needed, and no personal information is given to Khan Academy. "At IXL Learning, we are passionate about improving learning for all. We apply technology in thoughtful and innovative ways to unlock students' innate curiosity, creativity, and desire for knowledge. IXL Learning acquired Education.com in 2019. Education.com offers 30,000 digital and printable learning resources, including worksheets, online games, hands-on activities, lesson plans, and more, for preschool through eighth grade." Since IXL and Education.com are paid services, teacher will share screen of her account/worksheets so free to all students.
