In this six-week, self-paced course, students will learn the basics of crochet through easy-to-follow, pre-recorded video lessons. Designed for absolute beginners, this course covers essential stitches, working in rows and rounds, shaping techniques, and small projects like washcloths, granny squares, and plushies. Students will learn: - How to hold a crochet hook and yarn properly - Basic stitches: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet - Working in rows vs. rounds (magic ring, granny squares) - Increasing and decreasing stitches for shaping - Simple projects like washcloths, tote bags, and plushies - How to finish and secure projects (weaving in ends, blocking) Each week includes a pre-recorded video lesson demonstrating the techniques step by step. Students can pause, rewind, and practice at their own pace. Lessons are hands-on, with clear instructions and close-up demonstrations to ensure clarity. Since this is a self-paced course, there will be no live sessions, but students will have access to teacher support. They are encouraged to share progress, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate their finished projects. This course is perfect for creative learners who enjoy hands-on activities and want to build a new skill at their own pace. Let’s get hooked on crochet together!
