Little Women-- a story still loved today. 

Week 1. The life of Louise May Alcott, how little women is an amazing story of sisterly love. We will start reading Chapter 1.
Homework: Read Chapters 1- 6.

Week 2. We will go over the homework. Are there similarities between the book Pride and Prejudice and the Penderwicks to the Little Women? What are the main characters in this book? 
Homework: Watch the 1994 version of Little Women and read Chapters 7- 12. Write down how the characters are changing in Chapters 7-12.

Week 3. Go over homework. How did the movie of Little Women influence your view of the book? Did the movies do it justice? 
Homework: Read Chapters 13-17 and watch the 2019 version of Little Women.

Week 4. Review homework. Can you see a difference between the two movies you have watched? What is Jo's main role and is Amy's character changing? 
Homework: What is the mother's role in this story and is that a different role than a mother's today? Read Chapters 18-21.

Week 5. What was your view of the book? Do you think there is a comparison between The Penderwicks and Pride and Prejudice? 
Homework: Read up about the Penderwicks book and Pride and Prejudice, and write a one-page paper comparing the three books. Read Chapters 21-23

Week 6. What have we learned about these three authors from our research and which book would we recommend?
