Experiencia de clase

This is an interactive discussion based class wherein students will discuss and politely debate different topics using text evidence to support their views. To help them with this endeavor, each week students will receive a reader's response packet that will aide them in successfully participating in the course discussions for each class. Students will have an opportunity to work through different parts of the packet with the teacher in addition to student discussion based on their assignments.
During our first class of the week we will review the packet and participate in pre-reading activities for the assigned chapters for the week and the major discussion questions for the week. During our second and third classes of the week we will focus on major themes, historically relevant events or customs, character and plot developments, etc. with the help of our reader's response packets to help us discuss the text together as a group. The readings are set up to allow for students to read 1 chapters a day for 5 days a week. Each week's packet will be provided the Sunday evening before or earlier.
