Science in cool. Cold weather science is even "cooler". In this class, your little learner will get to experience 4 different cold weather science experiments. Not only will they have fun watching the experiment take place, but they will also learn the scientific concepts being demonstrated. We will watch a snowman explode, make glue with salt, witness "magic" water and create "super cool" water. Truth be told, I didn't like science when I was younger. I thought it was "boring". Now that I'm older and a homeschooling mom I realize how awesome and interesting science really is. So, I have made it my mission to create classes that fascinating, engaging and memorable. I want to create an excitement for science that makes them want to learn more. I promise your little learners will be talking about their experience in this class long after it's over. After class, I will send each of my little learners the directions to complete all of these experiments (with parental supervision) again and again, as well as the scientific concept being demonstrated. Hands-on work, repetition of concepts and having fun are all important pieces of the learning experience. My goal isn't to just teach a concept. It's to create a life-long passion for learning. As always, at the end of class my little learners will also receive their "Little Learner League: Cold Weather Science" badge and certificate. This is a great way for my little learners to remember this class and take pride in working hard to learn something new. If they enjoy the class, they can take other Little Learner League Classes to earn more badges and certificates!

Orientación para padres
During the class, I will talk to my little learners about safety precautions that need to be taken when conducting experiments. I will also let them know that if they want to re-create any of these experiments at home, they MUST have adult supervision. Hot water, vinegar and baking soda will be used in the experiments, which would all require adult supervision if used at home.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Through homeschooling our 2 children I have learned that the best kind of learning takes place when it is presented in a memorable and engaging way. Learning should be an experience, not a task. That makes the learning AND teaching more fun!
