It can be difficult know what kind of classes or tutoring sessions our children need if we don't know exactly where they stand on their journey to literacy. 

In this one time, one-on-one meeting, students will be given a literacy assessment to determine what literacy skills they have mastered, where they need support, and suggestions to what skills to target next.

Within 48 hours after the meeting, you will receive a detailed assessment, common-core-aligned standards for your student's level, and areas of focus to customize their learning plan.

I have been trained in Literacy and Writing Intervention from the Teacher's College at Cornell University in the Reading Rescue and Reading Recovery Programs. I currently use a curriculum that is based in Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach. 

Students should bring paper and pencil to the assessment. 
The assessment may run 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the student.
