Luces, cámara, ¡acción! Detrás de escena de la industria del cine y la televisión

The process of making a movie or television show begins years before the director yells "Lights, Camera, Action"! You probably know that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes... but have you ever wondered how it all begins? How much money does it really cost to make a movie? What does the inside of a sound stage look like? And just how many people did it take to make some of our favorite films?

Our class is going to dive deep into the magical, expensive, and time consuming world of entertainment. It all begins with a simple idea. We will discover how these simple ideas have transformed into cinematic masterpieces by diving into the FIVE stages of Film. 

Using my experience of working on the “business” side of the production industry for over 10 years, I will give you my personalized look into this fascinating, and sometimes not so fabulous, industry. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and gain a new understanding of well known movies based on the new material they are learning. We will use real life stories with industry professionals, box office statistics, and video footage taken from inside a real film studio to give students a high level introduction into the world of Film and Television. 

No previous knowledge of the film industry is necessary. All you need is an interest in entertainment, and a desire to learn something new about this exciting, universal pastime.
