This course is for learners who are already reading simple sentences and short stories but ready for more advanced phonics instruction. In this class, students will learn advanced long vowels, rule-breakers, syllables, contractions, plurals and simple punctuation. Upon completion of this course, learners will be well on their way to becoming independent readers. My teaching style is simple yet highly interactive, using tools such as songs, flashcards, books, games, and occasionally, slides and videos. Requisitos previos
Students will need to be reading simple sentences and paragraphs upon beginning this course. Though not required, I would recommend taking my Levels 1 and 2 Phonics courses before enrolling in this course.

I have over ten years experience teaching and tutoring learners of all ages and in a variety of subjects. I hold my TESOL certificate and have taught English in both private school settings as well as through private tutoring. I also teach and tutor reading and ELA and ESL for other online companies in addition to Outschool. My first experience tutoring in reading was as a senior in high school to elementary aged students. Seeing them learn and succeed instilled in me a passion for teaching and tutoring. I have since then continued to teach and tutor privately, both in person and online.
