When children use a salt tray for letter writing activities, parental supervision and guidance are essential to ensure their safety. Salt trays can be a fun and effective tool for learning letter formation, but it's important for parents to advise their children on proper use. Younger children especially may need reminders not to ingest the salt or put their fingers in their mouths or eyes after touching the tray. Parents should also ensure that the salt tray is placed on a stable surface to prevent spills or accidents. Regularly check the condition of the salt tray to ensure it remains clean and safe for use. By providing appropriate guidance and supervision, parents can enhance their child's learning experience while ensuring their safety during activities involving salt trays.
No curriculum is needed for this small class on letters and sounds. Once students master the basics, we will introduce more complex sounds using a resource called Secret Stories. To respect copyright, we will create our own illustrations of these stories.
