In this one time course we will explore the wonderful world of giraffes. We will discuss their habitats, appearance, and fun facts you can share with friends and family. In the beginning of class, we will discuss the information they already know about giraffes and get to know each other a little. Next, we will view some photos of giraffes and discuss their appearance. We will also talk about what giraffes eat and where they live. At the end of the lesson, we will will have fun creating a giraffe by tracing our hand and turning it into a giraffe.

I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures.
