Are you a fan of animation? Is there an animated movie or series you really want to discuss with somebody but there is no one you know who is into the same genre? You've come to the right place! What's even more exciting than sharing your thoughts about a series you love (or love to hate!) with other people who will become your anime watching friends.

In this social club we'll cover:
- Iconic scenes and lines from the anime.
- Exposure to different genres and forms of animated films/series
- Sharing our anime cosplay/art/collection if you would like to share!
- Watching anime series/movie as a group before coming in for a discussion

Each class will begin with all learners sharing what they thought about the anime. The club will be student-led and based on what the learners want to cover about anime. I will guide the conversation and have a list of prompts in case the discussion dies down. The class might also go into other anime that students like or are similar to the selected anime. We can also play anime based games. Recommendations are always welcome!

Topics are subjected to change based on enrolled learner's votes!

As this is an ongoing class, learners can subscribe and unsubscribe as they need.
Metas de aprendizaje
By being a part of this Anime club, your child will be able to enhance their:

- Social skills: Students can create friendships with others who "get" them and have opportunities throughout the class to let their voices be heard.
- Exposure to diversity: They will be asked to watch movies they might not have thought about trying on their own. The class also consists of conversations of people with different backgrounds, which will influence how they see films.
- Critical thinking skills: Students will be asked to think about certain scenes with a critical eye, helping them understand what the movie was trying to say and do

Orientación para padres
Parental guidance is recommended to see if the film or series is suitable for their learner as some shows might have scary scenes. Some anime might have ratings like TV 14, or TV 18, so please take note of the ratings for each show. The safety and comfort of learners are the most important, and learners are discouraged from talking about certain topics of anime that can be overly violent or covering other inappropriate topics. Parents are encouraged to their learner understand topics that can be inappropriate for Outschool, and I will help guide them if it ever comes up.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I am an anime aficionado and I love discussing anime with anyone who would want to. I have a Diploma in communications and have taken multiple film theory and media analysis classes at university. I also have a social science degree which allows me to combine my love for anime, with other issues that the series might talk about.
