This is a delicious fudge that will satisfy your craving for a spoonful of cookie dough! Because the flour is precooked before class and it has no eggs, it is completely safe to eat and has the texture and taste of the real thing. In this one time class learners will be introduced to the basic cooking skills: * learn food safety - frequent hand washing * discuss the steps in cooking and reading a recipe * how to safely melt chocolate in the microwave * how to correctly measure wet and dry ingredients for this recipe (we will measure using teaspoons and cups) * the importance of cleaning up Class will begin with learners introducing themselves by sharing their favorite meal and why they like it. We will look over the recipe and gather all the ingredients and tools we need. We will then make our yummy treat together. After our fudge is finished, we will learn some tips for cleaning up! Learners will have their own copy of the recipe to print out before class! We will also look it over on the screen together. All steps will be illustrated by slides with video presentation to show students how to perform each action. Students should be comfortable using a microwave and a can opener and reading measurements: 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 Tbs, 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup, 1 cup. ** Please note transfers will only be accommodated up to 2 hours before class time. Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello! My name is Miss Morgan and I am so excited to meet your learner! I am passionate about early childhood education and math for all ages! I am a child of a Deaf adult and have taken 2 years of formal ASL instruction. I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Utah.
I have 4 years experience teaching ESL online, I find it delightful to meet students from all over the world! I have continued my training and education by receiving my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificates.
Before I began teaching online, I taught Kindergarten and preschool and volunteered as a reading and math tutor. I was trained to cake decorate and make pastries in a professional bakery and have continued that hobby in my free time.
I believe all children can be excited about learning, as soon as they find their own passions and interests and have a teacher who encourages inquiry and open ended question asking! One of the most essential things a teacher can do to inspire learning is to get to know each learner as an individual and help them make connections to their own life.
Some of my personal interests are baking and candy making, Mount Everest and other 8000 meter peaks, and children's literature. I collect copies of The Night Before Christmas!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me, I look forward to seeing you in the classroom soon!
