In this nine week course, we will meet twice a week to learn the alphabet and reading in Spanish. This is a small group class so that students can maximize their time in class. Two letters will be focused on in each class, learning the phonetics and vowels to form words and then complete sentences. A systematic approach will be used to enable retention of new sounds with focus on correct pronunciation. We will finish each class with a drawing of our new letters to be compiled as a learning tool to retain memory of the alphabet and vocabulary. This is a fun, active participation class.  We will use songs, props and the "I say, you say, we say" approach to acquire our new reading skills.

Week I 
Day 1: Letras Aa & Bb 
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 
Day 2: Letras Cc & Ch ch  
 We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 

Week II 
Day 3: Letras Dd & Ee
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 
Day 4: Letras Ff & Gg
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 

Week III 
Day 5: Letras Hh & Ii
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 
Day 6: Letras Jj & Kk
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 

Week IV 
Day 7:Letras Ll & Lll
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 
Day 8: Letras Mm & Nn
We begin with a welcome song. In this class will we learn our target letters and the vowel sounds.  We will have guided phonetic reading. We will then draw a picture that relates to our new target language. 

Week V 
Day 9: Letras Nñ & Oo

Day 10: Letras Pp & Qq
