The class is divided into ten sessions And can be found in the syllabus. Communication throughout each session will include the following: I will use a variety of learning materials for this course to include: powerpoint presentations presented during the weekly class recorded video session, video/animated modeled, interactive online activities, and worksheets. I will be providing students with a hyperdocument worksheet to complete for each section where all the outside links are accessible (such as purpose game/free anatomy games/Quizlet/ Quizizz), and problem sets to complete. Students will not need to have accounts for any of the activities and games. By the end of the ten lessons weeks students will have a great understanding of the skeletal system
Metas de aprendizaje
The learning goals of a skeletal anatomy class typically revolve around developing a deep understanding of the structure, function, and clinical relevance of the human skeletal system. Here are some specific learning goals that students might aim to achieve:
1. **Identify and Describe Bones:** Students should be able to identify major bones of the human body and describe their location, shape, and key features.
2. **Understand Bone Structure:** Gain knowledge of the micro and macroscopic structure of bones, including bone tissue types, bone cells, and bone matrix composition.
3. **Comprehend Joint Types and Function:** Understand the different types of joints in the body, their structure, and how they facilitate movement and provide stability.
4. **Explain Bone Development and Growth:** Learn about the processes of ossification, bone growth, and bone remodeling throughout life, including the role of hormones and nutrition in bone health.
5. **Recognize Skeletal Pathologies:** Identify common skeletal disorders, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, fractures, and congenital abnormalities, and understand their causes, symptoms, and treatment options.
6. **Apply Knowledge to Clinical Contexts:** Understand the clinical significance of skeletal anatomy in fields such as orthopedics, radiology, physical therapy, and forensic science.
7. **Analyze Skeletal Adaptations:** Explore how the skeletal system adapts to various stimuli, such as exercise, aging, and environmental factors.
8. **Integrate Skeletal Anatomy with Other Body Systems:** Understand the relationships between the skeletal system and other body systems, such as the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems, and how they work together to support bodily functions.
9. **Demonstrate Proficiency in Anatomical Terminology:** Use accurate anatomical terminology to describe the location, orientation, and relationships of bones and other structures within the body.
By achieving these learning goals, students will develop a solid foundation in skeletal anatomy that will serve as a basis for further study and application in various healthcare and scientific disciplines this can be done at your own pace with each lesson last one week at a time. This should take you 11 weeks to complete.
