¡Aprendamos Scratch!

Are you interested in learning how to code? SCRATCH is a great program to get you started!  Learn the basics of drag and drop coding through these interactive lessons. This class will meet two times and focus on learning the basics of Scratch. I will model the skills on my computer and help the student do the same. 

1st meeting:
- Learn how to navigate Scratch 
- Add and change sprites, scripts, costumes, and sounds
- Create a project to share with your friends or family (animate the letters of your name, initials, or favorite word)

2nd meeting: 
- Learn how to make conversations between sprites
- Learn how to switch scenes
- Add voice
- Make an interactive storytelling project (choose characters, add conversation, and bring your story to life)

No background knowledge is required!

No homework - unless you're wanting to explore more with SCRATCH!

Learner progress will be evaluated based on the completion of two projects:
- Animate your name!
- Create a story!

How to sign up for a Scratch 2.0 account:
- Go to https://scratch.mit.edu/
- Click "Join Scratch"
- Choose a Username & Password
- Add Birth Month/Gender/Country
- Add Parent/Guardian E-mail address (So you can confirm your child's account)
