This course is designed to provide learners with an opportunity to learn the game of American Football at the basic level. In this class, students will learn about the different offensive and defensive positions, and what their basic functions are. We will explore the world of offensive and defensive formations, as well as some introductory rules that make understanding the game easier. Class is a 4-week course that meets once a week and is a remote, online course. Class is taught through guided instruction, teacher demonstration and student performance. There are no required prerequisites for this course, however, because this is an cumulative class, it is recommended thar students bring a notebook and writing utensil for notes. 

Week 1: What is American Football? Are there different levels of the sport?
Week 2: Offensive/Defensive/Special Teams Positions and Functions.
Week 3: Basic Rules and Regulations of Gameplay
Week 4: Introduction to common offensive and defensive positions.
