📣Calling All Preschoolers to this super engaging, VALUE-PACKED, full-curriculum #academic Pre-K/Kindergarten class!
‼️‼️THIS IS NOT A LETTER & NUMBER OF THE WEEK CLASS! THIS IS SO MUCH MORE‼️‼️

🌟***Use code BYRDCDISCOUNT20 for $20 off your first week!***

🌟This class is routine-based and structured to keep little learners engaged the entire class time.
🌟This is an ongoing class, so you can jump in on ANY WEEK and not be "behind!"
🌟We meet four times weekly, Monday through Thursday, for 30 minutes each day. You may want to take Fridays off, but if you would like to keep a 5-day schedule to reinforce skills taught during the week, I will upload optional reinforcement activities and worksheets each week for you to extend our lessons and offer extra practice as you see fit!
🌟As little learners thrive on routine, we will keep the same routines and procedures each week. This also provides an environment for learners to become confident in expectations and puts them at ease to concentrate on new content as it is introduced!
🌟Circle time (including calendar, seasons, weather, months of the year, and days of the week), phonics, math, science, social studies, storytime, and crafts will be incorporated into our lessons weekly. (CCSS L.K.5, L.K.5a, L.K.5b, L.K.5c, L.K.5d, L.K.2c, L.K.1, L.K.1a, L.K.1d, L.K.1e, L.K.1f, SL.K.6, SL.K.5, SL.K.4, SL.K.3, SL.K.2, SL.K.1, RF.K.4, RF.K.3, RF.K.3a, RF.K.2, RF.K.1d, RF.K.1, RI.K.5, RI.K.4, RI.K.1, RL.K.3, RL.K.2, RL.K.1, L.K.2, L.K.3A, L.K.4, P.K.5A, E.K.8A,
K.CI.1, K.E.3, K.E.1, K.CR.1, K.CR.2, K.G.1, K.G.2, K.CC.A.1, K.CC.A.3, K.CC.A.2, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5, K.CC.C.6, K.CC.C.7, K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2, K.MD.A.1, K.G.A.1)
🌟We will be learning:
            🔠Letters and sounds
            🌞Days of the week
            🌛 Months of the year
            🔢 Numbers and math skills
            🔺 Shapes
            📖 Sight words
🧠 Many other core skills weekly!

🌟This is a year-round class! While core skills will be taught daily and weekly, numerous skills will be introduced and reinforced over the course of the year! We will cover sounds (phonemic awareness), letters (graphemes), blending (putting the sounds together), sight words, numbers (including number recognition, counting, less/more, simple measurement, etc), beginning addition and subtraction, 2D and 3D shapes, days of the week, months of the year, letter and number writing, and much more! Throughout this ongoing class, we will cover all of the national Pre-K standards (and many Kinder standards) so they will be more than ready for Kindergarten (or you may choose to supplement your Kindergarten program with this class)!
🌟I will upload handouts in the classroom every Sunday for the following week's class meetings. All printouts are optional in all of my classes. However, if printing is an option, and students are mature enough to complete the worksheet(s) in class with me, I recommend it. However, if students aren't quite ready for that step, I recommend allowing them to do it with me on my screen. You can always begin adding in the printouts when they are ready. There is no pressure either way, you know your child best!
🌟If you would like your child to write with me during class but printing is not an option, a whiteboard or any sheet of paper will work just fine!
🌟 MUTE BUTTON: Because I call on students very often throughout the class to sing a learning song together, answer questions, repeat after me, or share during sharing time, I leave everyone on unmute IF I can. If there is background noise coming through your child's speaker (this may include an adult helping your child, a conversation going on in the same room, a dark barking, a T.V. on, etc) I will mute your child for a few seconds and then prompt them to unmute and reassess whether or not I can leave them on unmute. I prefer all students to be on unmute, but I know sometimes they need to be muted and that is perfectly alright. If you as the parent/guardian feel they need to be muted so you can help them with a particular task, please feel free to do so. While the nature of this class is not thematic, we will briefly visit the following themes to help us with our new or review skills:

Hello! I am so happy to be here and tell you a little about myself. I have been a certified teacher and reading specialist for over two decades and greatly enjoy creating and teaching courses that are fun for the students, packed with value, and super engaging! I am a kind and encouraging teacher, and I love to acknowledge every success in the classroom-big and small! I have created the following curriculum with your learner in mind! For preschoolers just beginning to learn letters and sounds, I recommend starting with my PreK course that covers not only reading, but also math, science, and social studies content. For those students who do not need an entire Pre-K course or those that know letters and sounds and are ready to begin reading CVC words, I recommend taking my ongoing classes in the following order starting with the first class (Feel free to copy and paste or scroll down past this profile to go directly to the class links). For those learners who know most CVC words or can easily sound those words out, I recommend beginning with the second class.

1. Pre-K & Kinder: Complete Curriculum & Circle Time (Meets 4 Times per Week). This is an ongoing, YEAR-ROUND course where we will cover all standards for PreK and most Kinder standards as well. Your learner can jump in at any time and not be behind.
 https://bit.ly/3DjtjX2

2. Let's Learn to Read (Beginners): Blending and Reading CVC Words in Word Families (eighteen-week content rotation cycle) This course is also available as a FLEXible 10-week course option for those that would like to take this class but can't find the class time you need.
https://bit.ly/3dBap5d

3. Beginning Reading Skills: Blend, Read, Spell, and Write CVC and Silent E Words (fifteen-week content rotation cycle)
https://bit.ly/3SfOO1m

4. Sight Word Science: A Better Way! Learning Tricky Parts by Heart (Kinder/First) (16-week content rotation cycle) This class can be taken in conjunction with my Bossy E class if your learner has a good grasp of CVC words, letters, and sounds.
https://bit.ly/3LHecuq

5. First Grade Reading Skills: (Beyond CVC and Silent E) Diphthongs, Digraphs, Vowel Teams, and Blends (20-week content rotation cycle). This class can be taken in conjunction with Sight Word Science if students have a good grasp of CVC and CVCe words.
https://bit.ly/3C4QTr5

6. Reading Fluency Practice: Increasing Fluency with Fun Timed Challenges Using First and Second-Grade Fiction and Nonfiction Passages: This class can be taken in conjunction with Sight Words Made Easy if your child has a good foundation of CVC and CVCe words. It is ideal for students in first and second grade or very strong readers in kindergarten. This is an ongoing class that meets once a week.
https://bit.ly/3UM31or

7. Book Club For Beginners: Gaining Confidence in Fluency & Comprehension: Level 1
In this ongoing class, we will meet twice per week to read aloud, have discussions, play games, and complete extension activities to increase learners' reading confidence.
https://bit.ly/3C5E5ke

8. 2nd Grade Reading Comprehension: This class is for students in first grade who are strong readers, students on second-grade reading level, or students in third grade who may need a little extra help. This class focuses heavily on comprehension, so if your child needs fluency practice, see my previous three classes on this list! This is an ongoing class that meets once per week covering the five big comprehension skills (direct recall, inferences/predictions, unfamiliar vocabulary using context clues, main idea and details, and sequencing) using second-grade fiction and nonfiction passages.

9. Reading Fluency: Fun Timed Reading Challenges With 3rd Grade Passages. This class is ideal for students who are reading at a higher 2nd-grade level or a lower 3rd-grade level, or those who have taken my first fluency class using first and second-grade passages.
