Your student will not be required to show their filming progress. But, the more they participate and ask questions the more capable they will be post-class to continue making their films. Their excitement to continue filming that you see after the class will be the best way to measure their success in the classroom.

Experiencia de clase

Learn to create unique and personalized movies and clips from your own phone or tablet using the Stop Motion Pro app!  Student will learn how to give life-like movements to their toys and other objects, add voice over, and add graphic edits to their films.  
Each student will have the opportunity to share the items they have chosen to star in their film with the class.  I will walk the students through creation in a step-by-step process, teach how to use the basic functions of the filming program Stop Motion Pro, and give tips to develop their expertise in stop motion film making.  I will ensure that all questions will be answered so that your student will have a blast and will leave the class with confidence in their new skill!

A PDF will be included for pre class preparation and at the conclusion of class summarizing the instructions your student received for them to review at their leisure.

1. Manually set up the program settings based on their lighting and depth of field.
2. Set the stage for their movie scene props and figures.
3. Efficient shooting practices.
4. Post production editing, such as voice overs and adding graphics.
5. Ready your movie to wow your friends.

We will be using the application Stop Motion Studio Pro that can be purchased for $4.99 in your mobil device's App Store.  Please have it purchased and loaded on their device prior to class starting.  Please have your student bring at least one toy or figurine that they would like to have come alive as well as any props they would like to include.

My name is Brenton (Machete Ninja Star) Fisher.  Galaxy defending archaeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have been educating elementary age children and teenagers online for six years.  I have extensive experience teaching English as a second language and am certified in TESOL.

The courses I teach here on Outschool follow some of my favorite pastimes and passions in life!  Combining interests like Pokémon, LEGO, athletics, video games, and more has given me the opportunity to develop learning programs that are not only educational, but incredibly fun and entertaining as well.  I think it is wonderful to allow a child to learn without feeling like it takes work or effort.
