Preparémonos para trabajar en la escritura de jardín de infantes

Lets get ready for Kindergarten writing, is a three week class that meets two times a week. 
This class is designed for students to work on letter sounds and to begin writing simple sentences.  In this class students will be drawing a picture from a prompt. (The prompts will be listed below for each week.) We will talk about our drawing and look at the details in the drawing. We will first label each part of the picture. Some students will be able to sound out the whole word, while others might get the first letter. The teacher will guide them in looking at their picture and helping them say the word and the letter sounds in the word. We will work on a simple sentence about their picture on the second day of class for the week. We will practice how to space our words and that each sentence ends with a punctuation mark. 

Week 1: My house. What does your house have? Does it have trees? A pet? What color is it?  Sentence will be "I see a...."

Week 2: My favorite park. What does the park have? Is it sunny? Is there grass? Sentence will be "I like..."

Week 3: My Family. Who is in your family? Do you have a pet? What do you do as a family? Sentence will be " My family...."
