Welcome to the Minecraft Ender Dragon Slayer Academy! Follow along in this comprehensive and engaging multi-week class designed to take young gamers on an epic journey, with one primary goal, to slay the Ender Dragon! Players will learn and complete the necessary steps needed to beat Minecraft. Learners will generate the same world they see in the weekly videos so they can follow along 'block-by-block'. By the end of this four-week adventure, participants will not only have conquered the Ender Dragon (in survival Minecraft) but also gained valuable problem-solving skills while having an unforgettable time. Please check that your student has Minecraft Java Edition. Java is played on a PC or Mac. This course is not compatible with Bedrock Edition or Pocket Edition.

Minecraft Basics
We'll start with the fundamentals, gathering resources, crafting tools, crafting armor, farming, and building a base. This week is perfect for beginners or those looking to solidify their skills. We will also find diamonds and mine obsidian.

Enter the Nether
The objective for this class is to find and explore a Nether Fortress. The Nether is a dangerous place! Students will participate in navigating the nether safely, and will successfully obtain at least 8 blaze rods.

Locate Stronghold
Using our now-acquired ender eyes we will take our food, weapons, tools, and armor and locate the stronghold. Along the way, we will look for additional resources such as arrows, bows, pumpkins, and food. Upon arriving at the stronghold, we will construct a secondary base.

Enter the End
First we will locate the portal room. Then after ensuring we have the proper resources to slay the dragon we will enter the end and let the battle begin. Students will target the end crystals, before slaying the dragon.

Minecraft is rated as an "E for Everyone" game by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). However, it does contain some mild fantasy violence. You should be aware that the game involves combat against virtual creatures like zombies, skeletons, and the Ender Dragon.
In this class, students will not join a server but play within their own private world. Gamertags will not need to be shared.
