Aprender a leer y escribir: combinación, lectura y escritura de palabras CVC y letras simples

In this ongoing class students will gather together to develop and practice early reading skills. Students in this class should be able to recognize all of their letters and letter sounds independently, or with minimal assistance, as we will be blending them together to create different words. During the first two classes of the week, students will practice their reading skills through group discussion, interactive slides, and hand on activities (a worksheet will be uploaded prior to class) focusing on a specific word family each class. 
Students will work on sounding out and blending letters, reading words as a group, and will be given several opportunities to read independently and/or with teacher assistance. During the third class each week (Friday) we will play a review BINGO game. This class goes through all the short vowel sounds (AEIOU) and then repeats. Students are welcome to join class any time :)
