In this 5 day course ( 1x a week over 5 weeks), children will discuss and participate in activities that foster social emotional learning and awareness. Day one- Being a Helpful Person, working cooperatively, and good sportsmanship Day two- Matching (following the group to be included) Day three- Emotional awareness and regulation Day four- Social Cues Day five- Being Assertive At the beginning of each class, I will define and give examples of each topic. Then there will be an activity that includes a guided question and answers on the topic. Some activities and include observing voice, hand motions,and facial expressions of each other and the teacher. The students do not need previous knowledge.
