Aprendiendo y reteniendo los datos de multiplicación

In this class, students will focus on multiplication facts 0-12. Multiple strategies will be shared to help older learners truly grasp and retain the multiplication facts. Being able to quickly compute multiplication facts will help students to continue being successful in higher levels of math. 

Each week, students will be provided a video showing strategies to solve each set. This is a self-paced class and will not have any live meetings. The videos will include how to solve multiplication problems the traditional ways of repeated addition or skip counting as well as other engaging methods that address different learning styles. Students will view the video each week and complete an activity to further their multiplication fact learning. Students will submit their learning activity to me in the classroom portal and feedback will be provided. The classroom posts and chat will provide additional interactions with students as content is shared and students can ask questions.

With experience as a middle school math teacher, I believe multiplication facts are a foundational building block to helping students feel confident and successful as they continue to move forward in higher levels of math. Informal assessments will take place throughout each lesson to make sure every student understands the material before the end of the course.

The format of this class is great for learners who prefer to not be in a live class or who prefer working at their own pace! 

Class Schedule: (this is just an example of how to set up the work for the course; this can be done at the learner's own pace with more or less per day)

Monday: Watch the first set of Weekly Videos & fill out the Multiplication Chart
Tuesday: Complete a multiplication assignment and respond to the discussion post
Wednesday: Watch the second set of Weekly Videos & fill out the Multiplication Chart
Thursday: Finish remaining multiplication assignments
Friday: Review Content
